Fun in the sun!

Well, it’s about that time again. It’s about time to tell you all what’s been happening to me. I haven’t done a real blog in a long time, have I? Well I’m sorry about that. I want to keep you all informed about my life. So here is the LONG awaited blog about what’s happening to me these days.

I am now unemployed. About two weeks ago I got a call from Amy (Josh’s mom) saying that because it’s the summer he doesn’t have school, so I’m not really needed. But she did tell me that he is taking summer school and that they might need me once or twice a week and that she’d call me the next week to let me know. Well, it’s been two weeks since then and nothing. So I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think they’ll be calling me any time soon. I am however going to be dog sitting at the end of July for them so I’ll hear from them some day! (But just incase you were worried about me not being able to make money and stuff like that, DON’T! I’ve been working next door more now and I’ve made more working there for just two days then I do in a whole month of watching Josh. So I’m still making money!)

School. That’s been going alright, I finished up my math course a few weeks ago and got a B- on the whole course, so I’m pretty happy about that. I’m still working on Chemistry however; I’m ALMOST done with it. I just have to take the last test, which I’m studying for right now. I’m hoping to be done next week, but we’ll have to see how everything works out.

Saturday I went to another parade with Eli and his family! This time his dad came along. It was a lot of fun! We got there late however, and missed Abby, (Eli’s sister) who is in marching band. It was REALLY hot too! And I was totally regretting my chose of clothing for the day! But it was still fun! After the parade we went to Northwestern Book Store and looked around. After we had looked around the store three times and Eli’s mom still wasn’t done looking, Eli and I went off to look around the Mall. After a little bit his sisters joined us.

After the mall we went out to “Godfather’s Pizza” for supper. It was pretty good. After we ate, we drove back to my home town and hung out at the park by the lake. Eli’s mom suggested that Eli and I go for a walk. So that’s what we did. I gave him a little tour of my town. I took him to the store where I use to work, I showed him where I have my piano lessons, and we walked on the bike trail. It was really nice, just the two of us. Then we headed back to the park and after a little bit they took me home. It was a great day!

Then on Monday I went to another parade! I know what you’re thinking, “What’s with all the parades?” Well I know it seems like I’ve been to a lot but really I’ve only been to three and I’m very sorry that Monday was the last one in my area.

Eli picked me up by himself this time because his mom and sister were going with a bigger group from their town and we were going to meet up with them at Como Park. But since Eli picked me up early, we had a few hours to kill so we went to visit Jeremiah and the guys at school. That was pretty fun. We also went to see my uncle who works there to see if he would let us up in the tower, but he had a meeting so he couldn’t. After we saw the guys we headed over to Como Park.

We found the group pretty quickly but since there were about 20 of us and most of them were under the age of 10, we left them to look around on our own. That was nice; we looked around the Zoo and then the conservatory. But most of the time we just sat around and talked. When it started to get about the time to leave we went looking for the others, but we couldn’t find them! So we went and sat in the lobby to wait for them, but they never came. We stayed till closing and when they never showed we just figured that they had left with out us, so we were on our own. The only thing was that we didn’t really know where the parade was, but Eli had some idea and we found it just fine. It took us a while to find everyone though, but we did and it was a really nice parade, and Abby’s band did really well!

Because we missed supper on a count of the rest of the group left with out us and went to eat with out us, Eli’s mom gave us some money for food, so we went to Taco Bell. After Taco Bell, Eli wanted to take me for a walk around town, so we parked at the school and went for a really nice long walk! By the time we got back to the car it was pretty late so Eli took me home, but not before we stopped off at a rest stop to look for Tucker Magazines! Then he took me home. It was the best day EVER!

And that my update. I didn't add all the pictures I took, if you wnat to see all of the ones from Saturday go here. And if you want to see all the pictures from Monday go here.

Thanks for the good times, Jenny! It's too bad I don't have any more parades to invite you to, because I was really enjoying going places where my mom was willing to pay for gas...
